MERCURY OUTBOARD ECU TUNING

Mercury's latest generation of V6 and V8 naturally aspirated engines are incredible platforms. The 3.4L V6 and 4.6L V8 blocks are shared across multiple horsepower ratings. For example, the 200hp, 225hp, 250hp, and 300hp V8s share the same fundamental architecture.

Our tuning removes the electronic throttle restrictions that choke the lower-horsepower models. We optimize the fuel and spark maps for premium Australian fuel, resulting in a massive increase in midrange punch and top-end speed. The transformation on the V8 Pro XS models is particularly dramatic, turning an already fast boat into an absolute rocket.

The supercharged L6 and V8 Verado engines respond incredibly well to ECU tuning. Because these engines use forced induction, we have the ability to safely increase the boost pressure via the ECU software.

By raising the boost limits and adjusting the fuelling to match the increased air volume, we can unlock massive horsepower gains across the entire RPM range. This is the ultimate upgrade for heavy center consoles and offshore fishing rigs, providing the raw thrust needed to push through rough seas with ease.

Mercury utilizes advanced torque management protocols to protect the drivetrain. While effective, these systems can make the throttle feel 'spongy' or delayed, especially when trying to get a heavy boat on the plane.

Our Mercury ECU remaps refine these torque management settings. We don't remove the safety nets, but we raise the thresholds to allow for a much crisper, more aggressive throttle response. When you demand power, the engine delivers it instantly, ensuring you have total control in challenging conditions.
